About the Conference

A joint venture between LIHCA and Collaborative Solutions,  the SCHH is the only forum of its kind in the Southern region addressing homelessness and affordable housing on a grand scale. It provides a venue for participants to collaborate with new partners to address these issues in their respective communities. The aim of SCHH is to further develop a network of partners in the southern states, creating linkages across the region, thereby fostering greater opportunity to learn from each other to effect greater change. Each year, the conference provides an opportunity to address the ongoing issues of poverty and the lack of safe, decent, and affordable housing in the Southern region.  The conference continues to  highlight best practices to reduce and eliminate homelessness, as well as focus on the need and capacity for new affordable housing opportunities in the Southern region.
